Instructions to create a Powerpoint Slide Show
Get Ready First!
- Insert the CD into the CD Rom drive of your computer.
- Have the CD cover or book nearby to select Track numbers.
- Open Powerpoint. Select, 'FILE', then 'NEW'.
- On the right of the screen, under 'New' select, 'Blank Presentation'.
- Under 'Content Layout' select the first screen layout option, (the word 'Blank' appears when you hover over it with the cursor).
Now you are ready to prepare your Slide Show
- Go to www.singinfrench.com
- Page down until you reach the LISTEN, READ, BUY buttons
- Press the READ button
- Click on a song to view the song lyrics
- Select, Copy and Paste your chosen lyrics into a Powerpoint slide. One song per slide is recommended – with or without the English translation next to it. (If it is easier, paste them all into a Word document first and then individually into Powerpoint slides).
- Once your text is in the Powerpoint slide, select all the text and select a uniform Font size (Font size 16, 18 or 20 usually work well). Now select a and a Font.
- Select 'Insert' from the Toolbar
- Select 'Movies and Sounds'
- Select 'Play CD audio track'
- Enter number of required track at 'Start at Track'.
- Enter the same number at 'End at Track'.
- Press 'OK'
- Select 'When Clicked' from 'How do you want the sound to start in the slide show?'
- Now you are back in the presentation. Position the sound Icon where you want it on the slide by dragging and dropping the Icon
- Repeat all the above for each song you would like to include in the slide show.
Using the Slide Show
- Select 'Slide Show'
- Select 'View Show'
- Click on sound file icon when you want to start the track
- Press again to repeat the track
